Dragon Boat Festival

Free multi-cultural celebration and sporting event that features races of long, sleek dragon boats that slice through the waters at breathtaking speed as paddles fly, drums beat wildly and spectators cheer from the shore. Hip to Hip Theatre Presents Comedy of Errors

What happens when two sets of identical twins, separated from birth, unknowingly end up in the same place, at the same time? Bring a blanket or low chair and picnic fare!

FREE Kids Sculpture Workshop

These workshops for children and their families are free and offered in the Park’s education area on a drop-in basis. Participants work with a new artist each week, exploring innovative art mediums and a variety of subject matter. Workshops include, paper making, bike decoration, mask making, and more. The Annual Bix Beiderbecke Sunnyside Memorial Jazz Concert

The annual concert celebrating the legend Bix Beiderbecke, a one time Sunnyside resident. The concert will feature The South Shore Syncopators, David Shenton & The Sunnyside Wolverines, The Sunnyside Drum Corps. Best part: it’s free.

Warm-Up 2012

MoMA PS1 presents Warm Up 2012 every Saturday through September 8. Now celebrating its 15th year, the museum’s highly anticipated outdoor series will continue its tradition of introducing audiences to the best experimental live music, sound, performance, and DJs.  The annual series is held in the courtyard which this year will feature a temporary urban landscape by HWKN called Wendy, the winning design of MoMA PS1′s 13th annual Young Architects Program.
