Guide to Childbirth Education in Queens

We recently presented the newest trend in labor prep, hypnobirthing, but there are plenty of other ways to get ready for the big day. Here we want to present some other options for local childbirth education from the highly praised Bradley Method to mainstream classes that blend Lamaze and other techniques… so check out our guide below!

The Bradley Method

The Bradley Method focuses on the role of the birth partner as coach, so this is the plan for you if your partner is eager to be involved in your pregnancy and birth. According to the official website of the Bradley Method, over 86% of 1,000,000 couples who have trained in the method across the country have had spontaneous, unmedicated vaginal births. Couples partake in a twelve week series and groups are kept small to maintain a high level of individual attention.

Vivian Cardinale

Classes are held in Vivian’s Astoria home. Small class sizes ensure lots of individual attention and opportunity for all questions/concerns to be addressed. Each class series runs 12 weeks and includes a free Student Workbook.
