Kids Fun House

Kids Fun House is a hidden gem in Ridgewood Queens. They have open play sessions from Tuesday through Sunday and a cute toddler play area for little ones to hang out and play in. They also have excellent coffee for mamas!

Samuel Field Y

Go to the Samuel Field Y for some indoor play for children 5 years and younger. Kids can slide around and have a ball. They have all the equipment of an outdoor playground in an indoor environment. Meet new friends and bring some old ones. No pre-registration is required. Equipment includes balance beam, bridges, climber, hoops, mats, slides, tunnels, vault and activities such as parachute time, games, songs, musical instruments, balloons & much more! $7 for one child and $2 each additional child.

Mommy and Me Playgroup at St. Luke’s School

Runs November through June for Ages 6 months and up. Lots of Fun Activities for Baby and Mom! Play Time , Circle Time Story & Music Time , Arts & Crafts, Holiday Parties, Coffee & Bagels for the adults , and snacks for the children.

Little Waltzers at Waltz Astoria

This pay as you go sing a long show is a nice new addition to the Astoria Ditmars neighborhood.

It is held twice a week and you can go as often or as little as you like. The band Buranka is a Japanese and Brazilian music duo. The name Buranka  comes from the Japanese word “buranko” which  means playground  swing or balance.  Buranka is a rare mix of language and music   styles from east to west which embodies traditional music with a New York flare.

Indoor Play at LIC Kids

LIC has a host of indoor classes ranging from Art to Ballet. They also hold a free play session from Monday through Friday 12- 230 and 5-6 to $12.50 per kid.

Mommy & Me Playgroup at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament

$3 fee, but registration is not required.  All ages are welcome, most children range from newborn to 4 years old. Coffee, juice, bagels, fresh fruit, cookies, goldfish, or other type of snacks available.  Art projects, music, story time, and parachute games and lots of fun for moms, dads, caregivers and the kids!

Running from September 16th and every Thursday from 9:30am to 11am through June.

Preschool Place at NYSCI

The NY Hall of Science is free to visitors arriving after 3pm on Friday afternoons and the Preschool Place exhibit offers a really fun, interactive environment for both little ones and adults. The NYSCI Preschool Place is the ideal space to explore and discover the natural and built world of a city. NYSCI’s youngest visitors can experience multi-sensory activities in a safe, protected area.
